Tuning the Heart
A Psycho-Spiritual Approach to Healing the Healer
Lead by Tom Holmes
This workshop is primarily focused on those in the helping professions, but it can also be helpful to anyone experiencing stress and potential burnout. We will use an integrative model based on Buddhist psychology, Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), and Sufi practices to tune our hearts and find our own healing and renewal.
We will use the IFS model to explore and understand how our reactions to difficult situations can constrict and deplete our access to heart. Practices of guided imagery, meditation, Zen inspired Big Heart/Big Mind, and Dances of Universal Peace will support our work as we tune and open our hearts.
Those who have experienced Tom's work have said:
" A powerful workshop with a great interface to IFS. A beautiful tool for opening to Self and the energy of the universe ." Participant evaluation from Tom's workshop at the 2006 IFS Conference.
"Tom Holmes's work is beautiful, profound and joyful. Before you know it, with Tom's subtle adeptness and facilitation, you are in a world of Presence."
